Long before there were written records, storytellers filled a most important function - they were the major source of information and instruction. Today with mass media, internet, etc. this role has been diminished but nevertheless, the storyteller remains an important part of society throughout the world.

Sheila is part of the Texas Commission on the Arts (TCA) Touring Roster. Support may be available to assist with her booking fees through the Cultural Connections Performance Support grant application. This quarterly program provides support to Texas schools, libraries, and nonprofit organizations for hiring an artist from the TCA Touring Roster to do a performance.
